Dr. Amy DuVernet, CPTM, is a recognized expert in work analysis, talent development, and organizational effectiveness, with over twenty years of experience in the field. She currently serves as the Director of Training and Development at Training Industry, where she leads the design, delivery, and evaluation of courses tailored for training professionals. In this role, Dr. DuVernet applies her deep expertise to empower organizations to optimize employee performance through cutting-edge learning and development (L&D) strategies.
With a Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Dr. DuVernet has dedicated her career to advancing evidence-based practices that drive organizational success. She is a prolific contributor to the L&D field, with her research published in peer-reviewed journals and regular presentations at national conferences. As the author of a popular column on L&D careers, she offers actionable insights on navigating career transitions, building professional networks, and finding success in corporate training roles.
Dr. DuVernet’s leadership extends beyond her role at Training Industry. She has served in key positions within professional organizations, including her most recent tenure on the executive board for the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP). She also serves as an adjunct professor in the Psychology department at N.C. State University.
