Jackie Ferguson is a bestselling author and award-winning entrepreneur who creates world-changing content as Vice President of Content and Programming at The Diversity Movement, a Workplace Options company. She writes frequently about inclusive business practices, and she is an in-demand speaker on diversity and belonging topics.

Jackie co-founded TDM with the idea of revolutionizing workplaces through diversity-led initiatives that ultimately improve lives and communities. Her book, The Inclusive Language Handbook: A Guide to Better Communication and Transformational Leadership, is sold in 15 countries around the world and has sparked a revolution in the way people communicate. Recently, Jackie released a follow-up volume, The Inclusive Language Handbook, Easterseals UCP Nonprofit Edition, which focuses on the inclusive language needs of nonprofits.

As a human rights advocate, Jackie seeks opportunities to change hearts and minds by engaging in candid discussions to explore the full range of diversity, equity, and inclusion challenges and opportunities. Her “Diversity: Beyond the Checkbox” podcast is recognized as one of the premiere diversity-focused podcasts available and is in the top 5% downloaded globally. Jackie has earned extensive recognition for her accomplishments including being named to the 2023 Inc. In 2021, the company was named “Best In Business” in DE&I Advocacy by Inc. Magazine.

A certified diversity executive, Jackie is a member of the National Diversity Council and has published in or been an expert commentator for numerous publications, including Forbes, Fast Company, Charlotte Observer, Raleigh News & Observer, WRAL TechWire, Almanac, Well + Good, and others. Jackie is an alumna of the University of South Florida and lives in North Carolina with her husband and daughter.
