Laïla von Alvensleben is a Remote Work Advisor and Collaboration Designer. She has worked with remote-first companies since 2014 as a designer, facilitator, leader in people operations and culture, and thought leader in new ways of working.
During her time at Mural — a digital whiteboard company supporting 95% of Fortune 100 enterprises — Laïla played a key part in its hyper growth from 100+ to 1000+ distributed employees across over 20 countries, empowering its rapidly growing team to successfully connect and collaborate from anywhere. Her work in designing and facilitating engaging experiences for distributed teams, including immersive award-winning virtual retreats, earned her worldwide recognition as one of the top 150 experts in the 2023 Remote Influencer Report.
Laïla is a champion for remote and hybrid teamwork and regularly contributes to many of the leading courses, conferences, and publications on the future of work. She has spoken at key industry events including Running Remote, IxDA, NEXT, Digitale Leute Summit, Atlassian Team and itoday Summit. She lives in Lugano, Switzerland.
