In her role as Principal Research Lead, Lynda Braksiek develops and executes APQC’s agenda for knowledge management research. She works remotely from her homes in Iowa and Wisconsin and has more than 25 years of experience leading and implementing knowledge management strategies and capabilities in the aerospace, pharmaceutical, and insurance industries. Lynda’s background resides in establishing and driving organizational change initiatives and frameworks, defining and delivering knowledge management and engagement strategies, and leading learning and development programs. Regardless of the initiative, she believes the end goal is to improve business results through effective measures of success while concurrently enhancing company culture. 

Prior to joining APQC, Lynda worked as associate director of knowledge management at Astellas Pharma U.S. and assistant vice president and director, Transformation Office, at UFG Insurance. At Collins Aerospace, she excelled in a variety of positions in her 19-year tenure including director, knowledge & change strategies and various leadership and individual roles driving knowledge management, process improvement, learning and change management efforts in Engineering, IT and Operations.  

Lynda has been speaking at APQC and KMWorld conferences for several years and is a regular contributor to KMWorld magazine, including Master These Five KM Practices for Success and AI for KM: Unlocking the future with a human-centric focus. For APQC, she authors research, leads webinars, teaches courses and pens knowledge management blogs. TechTarget leveraged research content and quoted Lynda in 7 tips for creating a knowledge base and 6 key roles in a knowledge management team.

As a leadership excellence enthusiast, Lynda coaches and mentors others. She is a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) from iPEC Coaching and a Prosci Certified Change Practitioner.  She has a master’s degree in organizational leadership and a bachelor’s degree in business administration. 

Lynda is a lifelong learner and dedicated to developing new relationships along every path, planned or unplanned, throughout her journey. Her passion and background in music performance gives her a leg up with storytelling, teaching and facilitating discussions. Recharging with family time, wine tasting and boating on the lake in Wisconsin is always a priority!
