About the Author
Stephen is an organizational leadership scholar/consultant with two decades of experience partnering with leaders in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors to align business and people objectives. His timely doctoral research at the University of Southern California explored the relationship between remote/hybrid work and employee engagement/burnout. Examining management practices in the distributed workforce, Stephen proposes research-based management preconditions to mitigate virtual employee burnout and increase engagement. His research also highlights the reality that if not properly managed, remote/hybrid arrangements may be most problematic for demographic populations including mothers, caregivers and people of color. A global citizen with roots in the Caribbean, the UK, and the US, Stephen is passionate about DEI and building bridges across cultures. The background soundtrack in his family’s home is coverage and punditry of all things English Premier League (the real football), ATP and WTA professional tennis tours, and Formula1 Racing.
