Sumeet Gayathri Moghe is a digital product manager, agile coach and distributed work expert with over two decades of experience in the IT industry. He specializes in building software within distributed, remote-first, agile teams. He’s currently a global value-prop designer for the partnerships division at Thoughtworks.

With a career spanning over two decades, Sumeet has worked with many startups, scale-ups, non-profits and Fortune 500 clients, most recently, under the Thoughtworks banner. Sumeet’s most recent community contribution is as the author of “The Async-First Playbook”. The book describes a collection of collaboration techniques that knowledge-working teams, spread across the globe, can use to be more productive and inclusive. In the words of Darren Murph,

“This playbook will empower you to lead and build differently. All you need is an open mind and a belief that the status quo isn’t worthy of defining the future.”

You may also know Sumeet as the curator of the async-first manifesto — a statement that encapsulates the values and principles for modern, location and time-independent work.

Sumeet lives in Pune, India, with his wife and two kids. When he’s not at work building software, you’ll probably see him looking through a camera’s eye-piece, photographing wildlife or a scene in the wilderness.

To get in touch, find him on Linkedin or visit asyncagile.org where he blogs almost every week. Sumeet speaks extensively about asynchronous collaboration too. In the spirit of the topic, he uploads internet-friendly versions of his talks on YouTube
