AvePoint is bringing its tyGraph analytics to Copilot for Microsoft 365. Announced April 9, the solution will allow organizations to measure the use and impact of Copilot to identify success stories and areas for improvement.
An Analytical Advantage for Microsoft 365 Copilot
The release builds on AvePoint's 2022 acquisition of tyGraph. TyGraph started in 2014 as an analytics solution for Yammer. Since then, the company expanded the analytics across the Microsoft collaboration space to include SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive and more properties in the Microsoft 365 platform. AvePoint tyGragh Copilot for Microsoft 365 adoption analytics is the most recent installment, which supports data processing, cybersecurity and operations management of the digital workplace.
Avepoint tyGraph is first to market to offer third-party Copilot analytics with detailed insights into usage and adoption, along with customizable features to use with its three-year data retention, such as time range, access controls and HR system imports through applications including Workday. Organizations will gain the ability to analyze adoption by timeframe, geography, department and role, to name a few. Down the line, AvePoint expects to add customizable dashboards that will allow users to pin visuals from any report in AvePoint tyGraph.
This latest launch of AvePoint tyGraph aims to support organizations to:
- Gain insights into Copilot for Microsoft 365 usage
- Make strategic AI investment decisions
- Unleash productivity potential across the workforce
An AvePoint representative shared further details with Reworked about the specific metrics the solution will track, namely:
- Benchmark Copilot usage in specific applications against current Microsoft 365 app behavior to differentiate the transformation.
- Track Copilot use by sensitivity label (secret, confidential sites, etc.).
- Identify one-time users and non-adopters for visibility into lower areas of adoption. Use real data to then decide on re-engagement or reallocation strategies.
- Identify consistent Copilot users
- How / where / how often users are using Copilot over time.
- Surface signals of high probability adopters of Copilot for stronger license allocation decision making.
AvePoint's Vision for Analytics in the Workplace
AvePoint CTO John Peluso said in a statement that the conjunction of offerings from AvePoint tyGraph and data readiness solutions will help organizations take advantage of AI in the workplace. It will help enable organizations to access data through a solid foundation, mitigate risks through enforced permissions and data protections, and improve data management through automated access reviews and policies for workspace and the data lifecycle.
