Hyland launched Hyland Experience (Hx) Automate on April 23, a cloud-based automation service geared towards streamlining workflows for improved organizational efficiency. The release marks the first on the company’s Hyland Experience cloud-native platform.
Hx Automate Aims to Streamline Workflows
Hx Automate is designed to strengthen efficiency throughout the content journey, helping companies manage and extract value from the high volume of content stored in repositories. Hx Automate provides low-code tools for custom form and application development, so users can build the automated workflows they need. It includes large language models (LLMs) and data extraction tools to enrich and contextualize digital assets, and integrates with other business platforms such as Salesforce, Workday and SAP.
Key features of Hx Automate include:
- An intuitive low-code interface for creation of responsive forms and applications that transform traditional documents into dynamic tools that function across devices.
- Out-of-the-box connectors and REST APIs that connect across commonly used line of business systems.
- Rules engines that ensure consistent rule application across diverse processes and systems, which simplify decision-making while minimizing errors.
Hx Automate comes with out-of-the-box templates to create workflows. Slated for a Q3 release, Hyland intends to include vertical-specific templates to further enhance its offerings.

The company suggested multiple use cases for Hx Automate’ across various sectors, including the creation of a streamlined claim check processes for insurance customers, or an easier onboarding of new services within the government sector.
Hyland will follow up the launch of Hx Automate with the introduction of Hyland Experience Insight (Hx Insight) in July. Available only to select Hyland customers, Hx Insight will combine AI-powered functionalities with content processing and data insights to generate responses from information that’s hidden within your documents to increase efficiency and decision-making.
