Visier released Vee, an AI analytics digital assistant, into general availability on April 16, following a six month public preview period. Vee acts as a conversational interface between the company's people analytics solution, Visier People, for managers, HR leaders and executives to ask specific questions related to employees. The company first announced its AI assistant in June 2023.
Simplifying People Analytics
Vee is accessible via the Visier People platform as well as through integrations with Slack and Teams, giving people leaders access to people analytics where they do work. The responses are based on a business's proprietary data, but the large language model behind Vee was trained on 25 million anonymized employee records, 2000 plus business metrics and 250 million benchmarks from over 50,000 Visier customers, giving it a robust domain specific foundation. Vee can generate data summaries, build reports and answer questions about specific employees or team dynamics for the user.
With Vee, users can:
- Ask: Ask Vee any question about your workforce and Vee will provide the answers in simple narrative form.
- Explore: Gain further insights into business areas like turnover, risk of exit, pay equity, DEIB, employee lifecycle, burnout and more.
- Drive Action: Convert insights into stories and dashboards to share with others, to build alignment and drive change.
The tool quickly provides responses to common workforce questions via text and visualizations. HR managers can click into a response to view a further breakdown of information, as well as click on variations of a question to get closer to the data in mind. The system also provides potential follow up questions for respondents to dig deeper into a trend. In cases where the question is of a broader nature, Vee suggests all of the factors that would go into making such a decision. In this case, the company shared the example of an HR leader asking who they should promote, with the response outlining (and linking to) all of the factors that would go into that decision.
Leaders can query beyond internal personnel questions, to benchmark their organization's performance on different metrics against other businesses.
In terms of privacy, Vee only provides responses that the person asking the question has access to. Upon session completion or thread reset, all data is cleared, mitigating any data retention by the LLM or Microsoft aside from the question itself, and metadata such as subject names, metric names, etc.
Vee Is Pre-Vetted
During its preview period, Vee was vetted and went through multiple iterations based on feedback from over 80 enterprise-level customers. Visier also made Vee available via its partnership with HCM services provider Paycor.
"Paycor is an embedded partner and customer of Visier, so their analytics solution and now their generative AI is powered by Visier. Think back to the days when Intel was the processor of every computer on the market — through Paycor all these users are now using Visier's Vee for Partners,” Thera Martens, VP of partner and embedded marketing, told Reworked.
"People impact is business impact and Vee will help people leaders drive better productivity, employee impact, and overall corporate performance by making better decisions about people and the work they do,” said Ryan Wong, co-founder and CEO, Visier, in a recent press release.
Vee uses GPT4-Turbo from Microsoft Azure OpenAI Services, which adds an extra layer of security for customers.
