ZoomInfo Steps Up Recruiting Focus with Comparably Acquisition
ZoomInfo announced that it has acquired Comparably, a recruitment marketing and employer branding platform, to help companies attract and engage top talent.
Vancouver, Wash.-based ZoomInfo is a software company best known for its database of information about companies and individuals that is used by sales and marketing professionals. Santa Monica, Calif.-based Comparably is an employer review site that job seekers use to find for insight into company culture, salaries and brand reputation. Comparably also offers software for employers to support recruitment marketing with custom content, search engine optimization and recognition through awards.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. ZoomInfo plans to combine Comparably's software and services with its TalentOS recruitment database and grow the company's footprint in recruiting and talent management.
Enhancing ZoomInfo's Approach to Talent and Recruiting
The products and services offered by Comparably will make ZoomInfo's TalentOS platform more robust, according to a ZoomInfo statement. The combined software and services will help recruiting teams to boost conversion rates and drive applicant flow using a variety of recruitment marketing tools.
“This acquisition will drive automated outreach to candidates who visit a company’s Comparably page. Similarly, ZoomInfo’s firmographic data and enriched data will significantly improve the overall value of landing on a Comparably page,” said a ZoomInfo spokesperson.
According to ZoomInfo statistics, TalentOS has been implemented at more than 1,000 companies since its release in June 2021, with revenue growing by more than 50% in Q1 2022 compared to Q4 2021. The combination will evolve how candidates are sourced and hired and help companies convert more of their talent pipeline, said ZoomInfo's CEO in a press release statement.
“The seismic shift in work accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic has fueled the Great Resignation. It’s never been so difficult to hire top talent,” said Founder and CEO Henry Schuck.
The addition of Comparably's 90 staff members will boost ZoomInfo's employee headcount to around 3,000. This deal is the company's 14th purchase, and the first one in 2022.

The Comparably acquisition is directed at growing its recruiting and talent management business. For now, the company is focused on integrating the new services into its TalentOS platform.
“We don’t have anything to share just yet, but as they do with all our acquisitions, the ZoomInfo engineering team will explore every option for maximizing the Comparably acquisition by innovating and developing new features and solutions for ZoomInfo customers,” said a ZoomInfo spokesperson.
