Enterprise benefits. IT leaders gain access to unified, scalable AI-powered communications.
NiCE and RingCentral are deepening a decade-old alliance by consolidating customer and employee communications onto unified, AI-driven platforms.
The two companies on July 23 announced a multi-year agreement under which NiCE will resell RingCentral's unified communications as a service (UCaaS) solution, RingEX. They also extended their existing deal to market RingCentral Contact Center, powered by NiCE CXone, for an additional year.
RingCentral continues to bring NiCE's CXone platform to its customers, while NiCE now offers RingEX to organizations seeking integrated customer experience and employee communications. The companies said the combined platform connects frontline agents with back-office experts through real-time presence and single-click access during live customer interactions. The offerings are available now.
"NiCE has been a trusted partner for more than a decade, and this expansion takes our relationship to a new level," Vlad Shmunis, founder, chairman and CEO, RingCentral, said in a statement. "With NiCE now offering our UCaaS solution alongside the continued success of RingCentral Contact Center powered by CXone, we're now giving businesses of all sizes a proven, integrated path to modernize how they connect, collaborate, and serve their customers."

NiCE Gains Momentum in Push for AI Integrations
NiCE's reported $768.6 million in Q1 2026 revenue, up 9.8% year over year, while AI annual recurring revenue surged 66% to $345 million and is now attached to every CXone enterprise deal. The momentum follows a 2025 close of $2.945 billion in total revenue and a 31.8% non-GAAP operating margin.
The $955 million Cognigy acquisition, closed Sept. 8, 2025, remains the strategic centerpiece. It folded Cognigy's conversational AI and enterprise clients, including Mercedes-Benz and Lufthansa Group, into NiCE's CXone Mpower platform.
NiCE has since moved to operationalize the integration, launching the AI Ops Center in October 2025, the Cognigy Simulator in January and, at NiCE World 2026, declaring agentic AI native to its core architecture alongside the debut of NiCE Labs.
On the ecosystem front, NiCE expanded partnerships with Snowflake and Salesforce in mid-2025, and used NiCE World 2026 to deepen ties with Accenture, AWS, Deloitte and ServiceNow.
UCaaS & CCaaS Converge Around AI
Enterprises are merging unified communications and contact center platforms into single hubs that orchestrate AI agents alongside human workers in real time. The architecture is shifting from siloed toolsets toward unified command centers that coordinate automated and human workflows across channels.
AI Adoption Outpaces Execution
Despite broad uptake, execution lags. Organizations deploying AI at scale report 88% adoption rates, yet only 25% have operationalized AI into daily workflows. More telling: only 7% of contact centers deliver consistent cross-channel transitions.
Vendors are responding by merging contact center and UCaaS with communications platform as a service (CPaaS) capabilities, preserving context across phone, chat, SMS and video for faster resolution.
